“When I became independent, I got rid of over 20,000 books.”
Kojima said he reads only paper books — definitely not e-books — and that his preference is not for the feel but for the tempo of flipping physical pages, with the annoyance of pages sticking so you can skip one by mistake, lose your place mid‑read and swear when you notice. “Definitely not. Paper books only. […] I like the tempo of flipping through the physical pages. Also, when I finish reading a book, I like to keep it. When I became independent, I got rid of over 20,000 books. […] I started leaving them at the office, but they got angry with me.”
