Kojima and his team released a limited-edition merchandise set when…

Kojima’s aspiration to become an astronaut turned him into an obsessive science enthusiast: he spent his meager allowance on Newton and the Japanese edition of Omni, watched Carl Sagan’s Cosmos and live broadcasts of space missions—which he prioritized even above his favorite movies—and studied biology, chemistry, and geology to prepare. “I think there will come a time when I develop a game with just myself and AI, not the staff. It can be cumbersome to work with staff.”

“You end up constantly doing this, so it becomes difficult to draw the line and say, stop.”

“We made the CG based off of Otsuka-san and Ginga-san's voices.”

“So the work didn’t stop. […] I have to change the story depending on how the game experiment works.”
