“Since the pandemic has gotten somewhat better, I was planning to ask him to do some more music for us. And then this news came in.”
At the end of an episode recorded just after the death of Ryan Karazija (Low Roar, † October 2022, aged 40), Kojima recounted what remained unfinished: Low Roar had been due to give its first concert in Japan in 2020 but the pandemic cancelled it; they had not been in direct contact recently but followed each other on Instagram and liked each other’s posts; and now that the pandemic was easing he had been planning to ask him for more music for us. Kojima said he saw the news of the death yesterday morning and still had not recovered from the shock, adding that Ryan had a great deal of talent and that his work will surely live on. He closed the episode with Don't Be So Serious.
“They were actually supposed to have a live concert in Japan in 2020, but it got cancelled due to the pandemic. […] we followed each other on Instagram and we liked each other's posts. […] I was planning to ask him to do some more music for us. And then this news came in. I still haven't recovered from this tragic news.”
