KOJI10 is tentatively coming back with a special one-off podcast…

“We've finally started. We've been shooting since June and will continue through the end of the year.”

Since 2005 Kojima presented his own program on the official Kojima Productions blog, "HIDECHAN! ラジオ", which was published in numbered installments; on July 3, 2007 it was at episode 148, and the blog’s archived version in July 2011 shows episode 296 and a monthly archive beginning in September 2005. Kojima is credited as responsible for the program’s script and structure alongside Takaaki Kitamura.

“I made a cameo appearance in Episode 11 of TBS’s Sunday Theater drama, “VIVANT.” For the role, I took off my glasses, slicked my hair back, got into costume, and gave it my best, but it was decided that I looked “too young” to be the Superintendent General of the Metropolitan Police Department, and that “there are no real-life examples of one with a beard.” So they adjusted my appearance with CGI. See if you can spot me.”

“I really respect Mr. Oshii as a creator, but as a person too. I've known him for 26 years and owe him for a number of things. Thanks to this show, I was able to meet with him again.”

In 2026 Kojima was scheduled to give a talk at the Game Developers Conference about his fateful decision a decade ago to go independent after a messy breakup with Konami, but he withdrew without offering an explanation; Kojima Productions announced he would not attend and said that some members of the studio would still present at the event.
