When she defeated The End she called me up and said: 'It is finished'.

Anecdote 2012-05-24
“When she defeated The End she called me up and said: 'It is finished'.”
What it documents

For a decade Kojima's mother had stopped telling her friends what he did while the children of those friends held high positions in big companies. When Metal Gear Solid 2 put Kojima on Newsweek's list of people to follow in 2003, she began to tell all of her friends and decided to try his games: already in her seventies, it took her months to complete Metal Gear Solid 3—asking friends for help—and after she defeated The End she rang him to say that it was finished. She died in 2017.
