“Maybe if you're with someone, but you want them to leave the room, the words get out will keep playing over and over again. And it never gets to the chorus of the song.”
Kojima told CHVRCHES he envisions a broader scope for AI: there will be an AI for each person, a personal AI — for example a Jeff-AI acting as a personal assistant, managing your schedule, monitoring your health and eventually replacing your doctor. He said games could use AI to customize themselves to each player, for instance by adjusting control response or the camera panning speed according to how each player reacts. Living with those personal AIs will change how people communicate. Using a musical example, he said that if CHVRCHES creates a single song, each listener’s personal AI could read their mood or current context and modify the song in real time — altering tone or tempo by time or place while keeping the original theme and melody intact. He added that the rhythm could sync to your physical condition, and gave an example where, if you are with someone but want them to leave the room, the words get out could repeat over and over so the song never reaches the chorus.
“I think there'll be AI for each individual person, like a personal AI. For example, there'll be a Jeff AI that can act as a personal assistant, managing your schedule, even keeping tabs on your health, ultimately replacing your doctor. So I think games could use AI to customize the game according to each player. […] It could change the camera panning speed according to how the players react in the game and things like that. […] But as it goes through everyone's personal AI, they can read their mood or whatever you're currently interacting with and change the song in real time.”
