“would start from zero”
In November 2019, while discussing working with Norman Reedus again and possibly a Death Stranding sequel, Kojima said that if he were to make one he would start from zero.
“Kojima discusses working with the actor again, perhaps on a Death Stranding sequel — though if he were to create such a thing, he "would start from zero."”
“I’m back”
“When I had just started my own studio and had nothing, I pitched the DS project to Norman at a sushi restaurant and asked him if he would like to do it with me. He instantly said yes even though I didn't even have a script.”
“So yeah, after going independent, I had nothing. All I had were connections with people, so I followed those connections to make the game.”
“The only things I had were four staff members, my computer, and my iPhone.”
“There was one incident that was really tough. The 2016 SAG strike. I thought it would end in two or three months, but it went on for a year.”
