You can convey emotions and tell a story through movement, and that's…

Paraphrase 2022-11
“You can convey emotions and tell a story through movement, and that's the power of movies. I think there are people who have forgotten all that.”
What it documents

Kojima defended his theory of cinema as movement: the word cinema originated from the Kinematograph and the foundation still lies there. He said actors like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton gave everything without a line of dialogue; when the talkies arrived they added sound and music, but the fundamental thing about the moving image remains movement. With movement one can convey emotions and tell a story, and that is the power of movies; Kojima added that he thinks there are people who have forgotten that. He said Rajamouli captures exactly the essence of cinema, and cited Mad Max as an example of a film with almost no dialogue, leaving aside whether having more or less dialogue is good or bad.
