Kojima said he really wanted to do everything himself and that if he could make clones of himself he would. He recalled an old novel called The Technicolor Time Machine in which they travel back in time to shoot a film, and where time flows differently — one year in the past equals ten minutes in the present — and with that technique he said he could do it all by himself.
