They may be entirely fictional, but somewhere in me the illusion…

Direct quote 1992
“They may be entirely fictional, but somewhere in me the illusion persists that they are alive and real.”
What it documents

In 1992 Kojima said he had been getting to know the characters of Snatcher for five years and that he feels a strange affection and affinity for each of them: although they may be entirely fictional, somewhere in him the illusion persists that they are alive and real. He compared finishing the game to saying farewell to new friends, feeling relieved on one hand but unable to shake the hope that they will meet again someday.
