EN“Since I was a fan of theirs, I didn't want to kill their sound. I wanted to make the most out of what makes CHVRCHES special and create something that'll match Death Stranding.”

«But it's difficult to hire someone to make a new song, and I'm sure it's just as difficult to be hired to make a new song. […] I also showed them what we had for the opening of the game at the time, and also the first 3-4 hours of the game. […] When they shared their first draft with me, I almost cried. […] Ian sent me four different variations of the fade out and was like, which one do you like? […] The only thing I have to apologise to them about is that it's an amazing song, but the players have to play 20 to 30 hours to get to it. […] I was surprised when they said they wanted to use the name Death Stranding for the title. But it seemed perfect and I was also quite honoured.»
