“The only thing Nicolas and I can do for the world is create things. We aren't capable of doing anything else, so we'll probably keep making things until we die.”
Kojima’s closing moment with Nicolas remained a shared credo: they are always talking about doing something together, and as Nicolas says life is short, Kojima wants to do something that will change the world — more than a revolution, but something like that. Kojima also echoed Nicolas’s idea that creating is renouncing the past and exterminating your former self to make something new. He concluded that the only thing Nicolas and he can do for the world is create things; they are not capable of anything else, so they will probably keep making things until they die. Kojima added that he does not have many people in his life who tell him things like that, that Nicolas is always honest with him, and that someday he would like to do something new with him.
“And as Nicolas just said, life is short, and I want to do something that will change the world. More than a revolution, but something like that. […] And as Nicolas was saying, creating things is renouncing the past and exterminating your former self in order to make something new.”
